We were given the wonderful opportunity to purchase the Old Soddy Bank Building to preserve for future generations. This is one of if not the only remaining historical building in the old part of town. Our effort fell short of the money needed to purchase the building. So, we are still in the bank building but the building is still for sale. The city of Soddy-Daisy and the Hamilton County Department of Education are working on the transfer of a small parcel of land at the old Soddy-Daisy High School site. If this works maybe in a year or two we can call that area home. But for now we are being good stewards with the money raised in the Capital Campaign. The money will not be used on anything but a new facility unless our regular funds are depleted to operate the museum.
GOOD OLD DAYS MUSEUM
The museum reopened April 1st & 2nd, 2022. The building is now over 100 years old and when it is cold it is very hard to heat. Remember we are always looking for one more photo or relic to add to our very diverse collection. We have a copier on site and can make copies of any photo you bring to us.
Normal Hours of Operation Friday 9 a.m. -- 4 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. -- 4 p.m. Beginning April 2022
